Navneet is a versatile engineer with 6 years of experience in solving technical business problems. In his role as a Business Solution Developer at Synteractive, Navneet is primarily responsible for architecting, building and maintaining the technical pieces of Synteractive clients.
Navneet graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with two degrees, a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Digital Media. What drew him to pursue a career in web site development and planning was its ability to marry the technical with the usable. He was also drawn to the idea of a collaborative workspace and the different approaches that happen.
After graduating, Navneet spent more than three years at Xtria, where he learned all aspects of web development, design and programming. He learned not only a variety of technical web languages (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, ColdFusion, ASP.Net with C#, PHP, XML) but also project management skills like gathering requirements, creating a project plan and helping project managers see it through completion.
Navneet then joined Digital Industry, where he was the lead programmer in developing a Timesheet system for the organization. After much research, Microsoft SharePoint turned out to be the best platform to enable this. After developing this solution, Navneet joined ICF International where he spent some time developing SharePoint collaboration portals for several public clients. Navneet is currently developing a system to improve collaboration at USACE (United States Army Corp of Engineers). The system is designed to be expandable, exportable, and easy to use. This will greatly improve the efficiency of how improvements are made across the entire organization.
